Sound input device hardware failure. Usually this is caused by prematurely disconnecting it from a serial port. Check your cables and connections.
The sound input device is busy. Stop the other application which is using the device and try again.
AppleTalk is currently using the printer port. Change the port in 'Record Options', or turn AppleTalk off using the Chooser.
Recording was unsuccessful. The sound input device could not be configured properly. Check 'Record Options' and your cables.
No sound input device is connected. Check that your cables are securely connected in the appropriate ports.
Cannot use sound input device. It may be in use by another application or you may not have any devices available. Check 'Record Options'.
The Sound Input Manager is not available. Please update your System Software.
